| Whether out of need, interest or a sense of adventure, the 53 people interviewed by producer Angelina Edwards all decided to learn something new. They’re as young as 20, as old as 80. They were born in Australia, Bosnia, Cambodia, China, El Salvador, Greece, India, Italy, Malaysia, Vietnam. From labourers to librarians, students to professionals, whatever their differences, they each gave generously of their time and are proud of their courage to seek out new skills. Wanting to acquire a new literacy herself, producer Angelina Edwards came to Radio Adelaide early in 2002 to learn broadcast skills.
The result is , a 2-part radio project: |
| 1) |
A literacy journey in 20 programs |
| 2) |
Survival skills for the 21 st century, a one-hour forum |
| |
| Around the world, radio is a ubiquitous source of Lifelong Learning. What better marriage than a radio project on literacies. Enjoy!
